Data Deletion Instructions

How to request deletion of your data from AidGens.

What data we hold

When you use AidGens, we may store:

  • Account data (name, email, organization)
  • WhatsApp Business connection metadata (phone number ID, business account ID, encrypted access token) for any channel you connect via Meta Embedded Signup
  • Conversation data exchanged through connected channels (inbound and outbound messages, contact phone numbers)
  • Usage logs

Self-service deletion

Most data can be removed directly from the app:

  1. Disconnect a channel. Sign in, go to Dashboard β†’ Agent β†’ Integrations, and disconnect WhatsApp (or any connected channel). The channel is taken offline immediately (no further messages are sent or received). To permanently erase the stored access token, channel configuration, contacts, and conversation history tied to that channel, email us as described below. Reconnecting the same channel before requesting deletion restores access.
  2. Delete your account. Sign in, go to Settings β†’ Account β†’ Danger Zone β†’ Delete Account. This removes your user record and revokes your access to any organization.
  3. Delete your organization. If you are the organization owner, go to Settings β†’ Organization β†’ Danger Zone β†’ Delete Organization. This removes the organization, its connected channels, contacts, and conversation history.

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Request deletion by email

If you cannot complete the steps above, or if you want us to delete data on your behalf, email [email protected] with:

  • The email address you used to sign up
  • The organization name (if applicable)
  • The specific data you want deleted (all data, a specific connected channel, specific conversations, etc.)

We respond within 30 days. We may ask for additional information to verify your identity before processing the request.

What gets deleted

When you delete an account or organization, we remove:

  • User profile and authentication records
  • Organization records and memberships
  • Connected channel records, including encrypted access tokens
  • Contacts and conversation history associated with the organization
  • Knowledge base entries and embeddings associated with the organization

We retain anonymized aggregate usage data and any data we are legally required to keep (for example, invoicing records for tax purposes).

Meta / WhatsApp data

For data originating from Meta (Facebook, WhatsApp): disconnecting the channel immediately takes it offline. The access token, channel metadata, contacts, and conversation history tied to that channel are erased only when you email us a deletion request (see above) or delete the organization. To stop Meta from sending us your data right away, revoke the AidGens app from your Meta Business account settings.
